Well I'm halfway through week 4 of primary. The first three weeks were hellish with 5 tests: Metro, T-6A Systems 1, T-6A Systems 2, Emergency Procedures ("Bold Face"), T-6A NATOPS, and T-6A Operating Limits. On top of all of that, my squadron (VT-10) had a physical fitness test for us Air Force folks one morning! Flight training instruction is often referred to as a "fire hose effect." Basically it's compared to trying to drink out of a 4 inch fire hose. |

Realizing that it has been year and a half since my last update, there it would be a futile attempt to try and chronicle everything that has happened. So here is a rundown from the time I left for officer training until now, prior to starting primary flight training. The time has come for me to leave. In a few short minutes I'll head to bed only to awake in a few short hours and drive down to Ft Gillem to swear in at the MEPS. From there I will leave and drive to Montgomery, Alabama for the next 13 weeks of Officer Training School. I am a member of the 08-01 class of future Air Force officers. It is a dream I have been pursuing and chronicling online for the past several years and have been honored to have you all as my audience. While I am unsure of any opportunities I might have while gone, but I plan on starting a new section: Air Force Life. So here's to living the dream, and I will see you all around Thanksgiving time. |

I see that I have once again fallen behind on my blog. When life comes at you fast sometimes all you can do is let go of everything except the horn of your saddle and hang on to ride. Since my last post we had our house painted (a story in and of itself), had the carpet replaced, and put the house on the market. |
